Scoala Gimnaziala"Zaharia Stancu" from Rosiorii de Vede

Situated at the town periphery, the Gymnasium School `Zaharia Stancu` in Rosiori de Vede receives daily, in order to offer them education, 757 pupils from the pre-school, primary and gymnasium levels. Out of these, 211 pupils come from three foster homes which function in our town but also from family foster homes. Another category of pupils, a majority one (132 pupils), have their parents gone abroad to work, and they are left with their grandparents, relatives or even alone, being supervised by neighbors.

The main problem our school faces with is the lack of extracurricular activities where our pupils cam be involved individually, in groups or together with their parents. We want to keep developing projects which are especially based on running extracurricular activities, in which our pupils learn to work in teams, to improve the team spirit, to obey the rules and to learn how to offer their help when needed. In order for our school to be able to offer them such extracurricular activities, it must focus especially on applying for different Erasmus + projects in which our pupils can be implicated.

In the Gymnasium School `Zaharia Stancu` 54 teachers run their activity of teaching, out of whom only 4 are on supply and the others are titular.

The school managers who have been preoccupied so far about the school renovation (asphalting the sport pitch, fencing, putting up parquet), about rearranging and endowing the school surfaces by winning donation projects such as: `Win with Profi`, `Workshops without boundaries`, `The ecoterriers` school`, is now focused on involving the teachers in a process of reconsidering the discriminatory practices, activities and attitudes, of motivation stimulating and of gaining the necessary knowledge, following the perspective of offering our pupils a quality education, a safety framework and comfort.
